Shade Specialties provides the following services:
Custom Window Treatments: Including draperies, blinds, roman shades, cornices, and more.
Motorization & Automation: Integration of smart home window systems, including motorized shades and skylight solutions.
Repairs & Maintenance: Services such as restringing, tilt control replacement, and cord lock repairs.
Cleaning Services: Professional cleaning to maintain the beauty and function of your window coverings.
Custom Creations: Custom soft goods such as top treatments, cushions, and pillows.
All services are subject to availability and may vary by location.
Consultations and Estimates
We offer free in-home consultations within our service areas, which include:
Portland, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, Tigard, Wilsonville, West Linn, Oregon City, and Tualatin.
Estimates provided during consultations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Design recommendations are provided as guidance; final selections are the client’s responsibility.
Any changes to order specifications after approval may result in additional charges or delays.
Orders and Payments
A deposit may be required to begin custom orders or installations.
Full payment is due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Shade Specialties accepts major payment methods (cash, check, credit card, or electronic transfer).
All prices are subject to applicable taxes and fees.
Installation
Professional installation is included for most products unless specified otherwise.
Clients must ensure that installation areas are accessible and free of obstructions.
Shade Specialties is not responsible for structural, electrical, or environmental conditions beyond our control that may impact installation.
Product Warranty
We stand by the quality of our craftsmanship and products.
Manufacturer warranties apply to all eligible materials and hardware.

Repairs and Maintenance

Cancellations and Returns
Because our products are custom-made, orders cannot be canceled or returned once materials have been ordered or production has begun.
Any cancellations prior to production may be subject to an administrative fee.
Returns for non-custom items must be approved by Shade Specialties and are subject to restocking fees.
Liability
Shade Specialties is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products or services. Our liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product or service in question.

All customer information collected during consultations or transactions is kept strictly confidential and used solely for business purposes. We do not sell or share customer data with third parties without consent.
